Corruption is Everywhere

cor·rup·tion \kə-ˈrəp-shən\
1 a: impairment of integrity, virtue, or moral principle : depravity b: decay, decomposition c: inducement to wrong by improper or unlawful means (as bribery) d: a departure from the original or from what is pure or correct.

It seems to be everywhere in varying degrees: big companies, small companies, public fire departments, non-profits, credit unions, water treatment plants, etc. Is there anywhere that there is not some degree of corruption ? Oddly, it seems even more disappointing and disheartening to see corruption in even the smallest and insignificant places. To see the lack of integrity some exert in order to reach a
meaningless level of power or some perceived level of success. Or is it just for the money ?
